Creating Awareness for Heart Disease

Creating Awareness for Heart Disease

In the United States and other parts of the world, heart disease is the leading cause of death for men and women. Although heart disease can often be prevented by making healthy choices and managing health conditions, some people are not aware and are not motivated enough to maintain their heart’s health.

American Heart Month is then celebrated every February to create an awareness for people to take care of their hearts and prevent diseases concerning the heart. Intrinsic Home Care, Inc. joins in this celebration as advocates of healthy living and wellness. We provide personal care in Indiana to help people prevent further damage to the body and help manage diseases.

The home care services we provide do not only involve the home care staff but also the communities, health professionals, and families by promoting healthier choices. To create awareness and motivation, here are ways to encourage people to have a healthy heart.

  • Spread the word about heart disease prevention through your social media accounts.
  • Encourage family members, workmates, classmates, managers, and supervisors to make physical activity a part of your day to day activity.
  • Tap doctors and nurses to be leaders in their communities by speaking out about ways to prevent heart disease.
  • Host a community event to promote heart health, like a group walk, information drive, or a heart-healthy cooking demonstration.

As companion care in Illinois becomes a need for seniors and persons with heart ailments, we are driven to make an impact on their lives by encouraging them to live healthy lives while we provide professional and compassionate care.
